Why do you feel dumb after doing a good deed?

Because doing the right thing can often mean you have to embarass yourself. Good deeds are something special and you might be getting embarrassed because you think about it too much and might be too self conscious. No matter what remember that unlike the 100's of people not helping out that you did a good thing and it is ok to be proud of it. Keep it up and keep setting good examples. Because it is the nice and right thing to do.

Why are we addicted to texting?

We are not addicted to texting. We suffer from social anxiety, in this case the idea that we might lose something if we are not in touch all the time: might not be cool, might not be "a part of," might miss something.

Is it afraid of something might happened soon or afraid of something that might happen soon?

"Afraid of something that might happen soon" is correct.

What kind of person are you becoming?

That depends largely on the choices that you are making in your life. If you are making good choices, then you are becoming good. If you are making bad choices and not correcting them, you might be becoming bad. Our choices dictate our destinies. We can't control external events, but we can control how we react to them, what we focus on, and the priorities that we make in our lives. If we work on being the people that we want to be *today,* those choices will carry through to tomorrow, helping us to get closer to that eventual goal.

What is an example for being kind?

An example of being kind is when, like someone needs help if you are kind enough you will help that person. Kindness has to do with how you are with yourself. ie. Are you able to forgive yourself when you have transgressed in some way or other? An example of kindness might be that you're willing to sacrifice the irrepressible flare of your own egotistical desire to take advantage of another when they are exposed and vulnerable and simply choose not to...Bravo, a human being.

Did Harriet Tubman make a significant contribution to ending slavery?

YES, She started the Underground Railroad, which allowed slaves in the South to become free in the North. Without Harriet Tubman, slavery might have taken longer to abolish than it did.

What were Harriet Tubman's contributions to history?

Harriet Tubman was very.... determined I should say. During the civil war the slavery didn't pause, stop, anything. Slavery was still going when the war was just beginning. During that time Harriet saved over 15,000 slaves! Now, coming from a 6th grader in Southeastern Kentucky that's what I learned about her. I may not have all of the details so you might wanna go to ask.com for more info. It will take you to here. But when it brings up all of the sites. Go to the one that is JUST about Harriet Tubman. That will give you a whole dang report! It works the best. TRUST ME! I did a report on her. That site is AWESOME!

What things happened in this Harriet Tubman life that might have led to the important things Harriet Tubman did?

Harriet Tubman was born into slavery. Her escape led to her making 19 missions and recuing 300 slaves. Because she had escaped to Philedelphia, she had the opportunity to work for the Union Army as a cook and then a nurse. She also became the first woman to lead an expedition in the war.

How did people at that time feel about harriet Tubman?

I think that people think tht harriet tubman is a great american because of her acheivements of breaking out 300 slaves. For some people like racists people might think she was stupid and they hate her they wish they could had caught her before she set those many slaves free.to me if harriet tubman was still alive i would always ask her how she set them many slaves free and how she survive that head injury and how she got well....

Did Harriet Tubman graduate in school?

Harriet Tubman had no education and was illiterate throughout her life. Slave owners did not want their slaves to know how to read or write.noHarriet Tubman didn't get any education except maybe in her later years. If you were a slave you weren't allowed ( by law) to read or write. So she might have when she escaped to freedom but no not as a child.. Although Harriet Tubman was illiterate throughout her life and had no formal education, isn't it ironic that many schools are named after her? She was poor and was showed very little respect by people who were "educated" and she did more, by far, to help black people than most of her contemporaries. But Harriet did get an education from her dad. her dad taught a lot about the wild. Harriet Tubman Didn't get an education because she wasn't aloud to go to school...Slaves weren't aloud to go to school.

How might you compare and contrast the success and failure of Tubman foreign policy?

Who might have traveled through a northern city during the civil war?
