The main function of the fuel pump is to pump the fuel from the tank to the combustion chamber at the correct amount and correct time...:P
why do you wast others people time? any farmer knows how to do this. trying to be smart are we?
On the injection pump gear are timing marks for 3,4 and 6 cylinder engines as the same gear is used in all the engines. To time the pump align the mark with the correct number for the engine with the center of the crank shaft and the center of the injection pump center. Timing should be 10 degrees before TDC on cylinder 1 The injection pump gear has 48 teeth with each tooth representing 7.73 degrees.
This is normal for electronic fuel injection.
That is normal for fuel injection systems.
A harvester harvests your crop about 4 squares each time you click. Harvesters use a lot of fuel, so if you want to buy one, be ready to buy fuel.
Inside the front timing cover. While you are in there would be a good time to tab the killer dowel pin (KDP). It would also be a good time to set the P-7100 injection pump timing (94-98 models).
The large harvester on farm town harvests 4 crop squares at a time, however, you need fuel to use it. The harvester requires 1 fuel per 1 crop square. you can refuel once daily and get more fuel if you help out at your friends' farms first.
It takes a lot of time to harvest, thresh, and sack manually.
On the side of the injection pump, there is a small rectangular piece held on my 2 screws. Take this off (you will lose a little fuel, but not too much). Now, take off the plate on the timing cover of the engine that is right in front of the injection pump gear. This will give you access to the gear that is bolted to the pump shaft. Using the numbers stamped on the engine's pulley, line it up to the correct timing setting (this depends on the type of pump you have, whether it has automatic advance or not, and can be determined from the model number of the Roosa Master pump). Now going back to the window you removed the plate from on the injection pump, you should see two lines, one is fixed, one which turns with the pump shaft. Loosen the bolts on the pump gear (or even remove the gear depending on how much of an adjustment you need to make) and line these two marks up, tighten the bolts down on the gear, and reassemble. You may need to rebleed the fuel system after doing this.
The secondary air injection pump pumps air into the exhaust to help heat the catalytic converter at cold start. This lowers the emissions at an otherwise high emission time. A malfunction means that computer has registered either a pump failure (common on some models), fuse blown, or improper catalytic converter function. http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/h65.pdf has a diagram of this part, how it works etc.
Check for adequate fuel supply to injection pump check for clogged fuel filters kinked ro collapsed fuel and supply lines also return lines from injectors for blockage. And now for the biggy. Its possible that over time the injection pump has worn out. the engine must be timed to remove the pump correctly. while the pump is off have the injectors checked for opening pressure and spray pattern. I am telling you all of this under the assumption that the engine is mechanically sound ie compression and valve adjustment all could play a part. Good Luck!
