accually, you need to do all 32 courses on time trial, single or "Race this ghost". You do not have to win them, you just have to do them. when I finished doing them all, nothing happened, but when I logged back onto Wii, it said "Congradulations! you have unlocked Toadette!" so if it doesn't give you toadette once you do all the courses, try logging out then logging back on.
