∙ 13y agoPut it down if it bites you, you maybe doing something wrong. So put it back in the cage and don't ever hold it by or pull it's tail, squeeze it too tight, or anything that will make it uncomfortable or scared.

What I did when my gerbil bit me I kinda freaked out and flung my hand around until it let go (I'm telling you it hurts) now the poor thing is scared and I am afraid to hold her. I say the best thing to do is to splash water on him/her then he/she will tel go.
if your gerbil is a biter then the best thing to do is to be patient and give he or her allot of attention. Don't give up.
If you do then the gerbil won't.

∙ 15y agoGerbils are supposed to be friendly, and they should bite you if you squeeze them. You may smell like food, it is important that you wash your hands before picking them up.

∙ 14y agoYOU DO NOT THROW HIM. you carefully put your sweet loving guinea pig in him/hers cage. then go to the sink wash where ever the guinea pig bite you. put a band aid on and that's that

well, you cant make a gerbil go through a tube if he doesnt want to. you have to wait until the gerbil is comfortable with the tube in its presence, then he might explore it, but that could take a while. If you want the gerbil to go inside quicker though.. try putting a treat or two inside the tube, and make sure the gerbil knows they are there. Then the gerbil will go inside if he wants those treats. (just saying, he might wait a bit) once he is inside it once, he will probably go in again!! =D
