Sorry this didnt post under my main topic, first time, But I have gone through everything I thought possible, The fuse is good, new brake switch by the pedal, both bulbs are good (changed them anyways) , the regular tail lights work, reverse lights work, as well as both rear turn signals work, I followed all the wires to the rear, tested everywhere, checked all connections, Still no luck, I was reading other posts with this type of problem, and seen that the turn signal switch could have something to do with it, any suggestions? Thanks,
DOT-3 brake fluid.
The brake dump valve on a 1996 Chevy Suburban is used for bleeding the brakes after new brake pads are installed. It is located on the master cylinder for each brake.
no...replace as a unit
The parking brake on a 2003 Chevy Suburban are adjusted by increasing or decreasing pressure on the spring. This is done under the vehicle, along the middle of the vehicle's frame.
dot. 3 fluid.
If a 95 Chevy Suburban's brake lights do not work but everything else does, it may be the link that connects to the pedal that has a problem. If the pedal has been adjusted or disconnected, it may also be a reason for the issue.
if you need to ask just take it to midas
change out your wheel cylinders..
what kind of wrench to remove brake pads
I had a problem shifting my suburban out of park. It ended up being the brake switch, it tells the transmission that you are pushing down the brake.
The breake lights on a 2003 Chevy suburban come on when the car is not being uesed, becausethat is the way thay are made?
Have you checked the brake fluid level in your brake master cylinder in your engine compartment ? a low level will turn on your brake light in the dash
Unscrew the bulb by turning it coumterclockwise and it will come out of the assembly.
Blown bulb/ bad bulb
you take the old break pads off and put on the new ones
Check the brake fluid level, it may be low. Check brake pads for wear. Light is designed to come on when the brakes are worn. the brake light flashes when there is a problem with the ABS. that flashing is a code...get a cheap code reader from wal mart that has a switch on it for ECU and ABS codes...the book that comes with it will help you diagnose your problem
The brake light is on because there is a problem with the brake system. Until the problem is fixed the light will remain on. Once the problem is corrected the light will reset itself.
yes just push the emergance brake one click.
If you are replacing make sure that you bench bleed prior to installation
burned out bulb, blown fuse, wiring
follow the brake pedal to the house, and you will see the harness behind that. follow that harness and it will lead to a second plug that you can access on work on
Get the tyre/wheel balance checked I had theis problem and it drove me nuts for a year trying to figure it out. replacing the rear brake drums solved it immediately.
