How do you troubleshoot a brake light problem on a 1978 Chevy Suburban?

Sorry this didnt post under my main topic, first time, But I have gone through everything I thought possible, The fuse is good, new brake switch by the pedal, both bulbs are good (changed them anyways) , the regular tail lights work, reverse lights work, as well as both rear turn signals work, I followed all the wires to the rear, tested everywhere, checked all connections, Still no luck, I was reading other posts with this type of problem, and seen that the turn signal switch could have something to do with it, any suggestions?
