Learning how to tune drums properly isn't easy. It's quite a complex thing to get good at and will take some time. There area a few basic steps:

1 - put new drum heads of the drum shell.

2 - loosely tighten all the lugs with your fingers.

3 - go around each lug and tighten with a drum key.

4 - tap the drum head to make sure it sounds clear.

5 - adjust each lug so they all give the same pitch.

6 - raise or lower the overall drum head pitch til you get the sound you want.

Practicing how to tune drum kit is the only way to get really good. With time, you'll be able to do drum tuning much faster and more accurately.

Go around the drum tuning each bolt diagonal from each other (not in a circular manner). This is because it will not keep a tune with ones being tuned too closely to the other at one time.

Place your first finger on the middle of the head and apply a slight amount of pressure; don't make the bolts too tight and just continue tuning until you like the sound of it - in other words, until all of the bolt areas have the same sound that you like.

all u need is cheap drums all the heads that comes with it regular heads,tama watch or drum dial,fine tuning the the heads top and bottom heads,35 on smallest 40 on second smallest third tom 35,bass drum lower than 35 anything you want tune them on both heads,snare anything the good one is 55 top 80 bottom,but here is the tricks if you want to make them sound like a tre maple drums specially toms apply some card board or shipping boxes on the tom bottom heads or anything that you can think of to muffle it alittle bit,and buy some of those remo or evans e-rings on top heads, it will be sound like the real maple im talking the any expensive maple good drums,and the bass drum put some of your pillow at home only half of that,dont be imptient now but you have to buy one of those tuner to get the sound that you want ,tama watch or drum dial will do it,if you dont they are all over but they are close,its true they say you will be surprise on any cheap drums what you get out of it if you apply good stuff! hope this help!

You need a drum key, and then you twist it on the knobs on the top of ur drum (and on bottom) there is not an EXACT way to tune your drums, you just tune them based on the sound you want out of them.... Hoped that helped

here is the trick dont tell 1/2 turn then 1/2 turn on every rod criss cross r dont make 1 full turn,on bottom and top heads,then put evans or remo rings then play with the kit it should ne ok and cool,what i mean is plastic are better that gels
