Remove the access panel that is behind the emergency brake (kick panel area). Behind this panel there will be a black or white plastic relay and behind this is a 9-volt battery. Change the battery. Do not disconnect the relay from the wiring., especially when the battery is disconnected. On the top of the relay is a small hole. Use a paperclip or small punch to lightly press in the relay. If you hold this by your ear, you should hear it click. Pop the relay back into place and turn the key before you bother putting the panel back on. If the light is still on, try poking the relay again.
find out what is causing it to come on (by going to a shop) and correcting it.
Replace the burnt out light bulb
A blown fuse.
either a bad sensor somewhere, or a connection is disconnected
autozone.com has online manuals you can access for free
There are pages and pages of things that can turn the check engine light on. You need to have it checked for codes to know what the cause might be.
it means that you have a bulb out somewhere on your truck.... IE backup light, brake light, turn signal, running light.. etc etc..
Turn the key on, with the engine off, and press the gas pedal 3 times.
From behind the light bezel (under the truck) quarter turn and remove the lamp holder. Replace with an "893" type bulb
Bulb is out.
I own a 1989 dodge Dakota and it has torsion bars that can be raised and lowered. Just follow the torsion bars from the front to the back and look at where they stop there should be a 7/8 bolt that you can turn clockwise to raise the truck and counter clockwise to lower it
the radiator fan stopped working on my 98 dodge dakota. it sounds like it tries to kick on but wont turn. what could be wrong if it is a relay, where is it?
on all dodge trucks the way you change the bulbs is simply unscerew the tail light assembly and remove it from the rear of the vehicle and you will see your lightbulb fittings right on the back of the light assembly
Turn counter clockwise to remove.
turn key to on position but don't start it, depress the gas pedal fully 3 times then start the truck and the warning should be gone!
replace the headlight switch its wore out replace the headlight switch its wore out
Will anyone address this question? What a waste
When can turn the fan freely with no resistense
You have to replace the tail light as a whole unit. Open the tail gate. You will see two screws (star shape if I remember right) take these out. Then Pull the lens assembly out. Undo the bulb connectors byturning them quarter turn and pulling them out. There it is. Easy. Good luck.
Turn on the truck next time
If you turn the igition on-off on-off on-off in less than 5 secs, the check engine light will flash the codes.
turn key to "on" position (not running) depress the accelerator pedal 3 times and start vehicle ......warning / light should then be off
Pull the 4x4 lever or turn the 4x4 nob depends on what year the truck is
Turn the ignition on, engine off. Press the gas pedal to the floor three times.
Turn it counter-clockwise
