If you do so, you will void warranty and your car will not pass next state inspection (if you bring it at Toyota place).

There are two wires under the seat responsible for the seat belt alarm. You can play with them to disable. If during the state inspection they will find out that you disconnect it again they will make you to connect it again you will not pass the inspection.

While it is possible to disable the alarm by going into the wiring of the vehicle, there areÊsimpler ways. You can purchase seat belt extenders and simply cut the ends off, or you could just buckle the seat belt before you sit in the seat.
The easiest way I have found is buying a seat belt entender, or a seat belt buckle from a junk yard and insert it in female connector.
To disable the seat belt alarm on a Chevy Colorado, locate the alarm fuse. Pull out the fuse to disable the alarm.
