try putting the pee pad outside. make sure the dog knows that it's outside. every time the dog pee's in the house, you need to let the dog know that that's bad by saying no in an angry voice and putting it outside. once the dog starts peeing outside, you can get rid of the pee pad.

How do I train my dog to switch from doing potty outside to doing it on pads inside?

Take the pad (IT HAS TO HAVE URINE ON IT) so it can sense where it last did it and move it inside so it can potty. This may take a while to train, but it will get the hang of it.

Why teach my puppy to use puppy pee pads instead of just going outside?

It depends if you have cold weather and you have a small dog. The dog might not want to go outside into the really cold weather. That's why people would use the pee pad. Going outside you need to teach them to let you know when the go to go. My opinion you might want to teach the puppy both so when its to cold to go outside it can use the pee pad.

Can you train your adult dog to pee on a pee pad?

Every time yer dog pees on the floor, pick her up or take her to the pee pad and lightly scold it when it doesn't go on the pee pad. If you take it to the pad everytime he does it on the floor, he will evevtually learn he has to go on the pee pad/

How do you train dogs not to discharge waste on floor?

After every meal your dog has take it outside and wait till it releaves itself. Make sure to praise your dog and give him a treat each time. Scold your dog if it pees on the carpet. Eventually your dog will learn where to and where to not releve itself.

Your puppy only pees on her wee wee pad but poops right next to it How do you train her to do both on pad?

Dogs prefer to poop in an otherwise clean area; once a pee pad has pee on it, the dog will not prefer to poop on it. Replace the pee pad immediately after it's been used each time. In addition, when the dog DOES poop in the right spot, treat the dog and praise him lavishly with petting. When he does it wrong, don't acknowledge the dog at all (don't get mad, either). Very quickly, the dog will learn where to poop to get treats and praise.

How do you indoor train your adult dog?

Well my dogs use the puppy pads you get at Walmart and i leave it on a place they usually go to the bathroom on so they go on the pad and if you dont want them to go to the bathroom while you are gone put them in a cage with their beds because a dog never goes to the bathroom on their bed

Your dog has a swollen pad on her foot and keeps licking it she limps and does not want us to touch it?

It sounds as if your dog has an infected pad or something is stuck in it or between the pads/toes. If he will not allow you to feel around the pad then he should be seen by the vet asap. He is suffering with pain. Good luck!

How do you keep your dog on the pad while pooping?

In my experience pads don't work. They are only good for the guy that invented them. Ask your vet or humane society how to crate train your dog. It is a much better method.

Is a dog eating and sleeping a behavioral adaptation?

No. For a dog to eat and drink and sleep is entirely natural behavior. Nothing "adaptive" about it. For a dog to eat from one particular bowl ONLY, and not sneak food from other places is a behavioral adaptation. For a dog to sleep on a designated blanket or sleeping pad is a behavioral adaptation. For a dog to want to go outside to urinate and defecate, rather than doing it on the living room rug, is a behavioral adaptation - because you slapped his nose for peeing on the carpet, and said "Good dog!" with cuddles when he went outside.
