Because normally restoring your iPod does not work. You must PLUG IN YOUR IPOD, ignore the message that pops up.
1. Hold down the home and power button at the same time.
2. ignore the off option, then when the apple logo pops up, let go of the power button.
3. When the iTunes and plug icon shows up on your ipod/iphone, let go of the home button
4. Now ITUNES SHOULD FIND THE IPOD AND RESTORE IT!

∙ 13y agoPlug it into your computer/mac/laptop that your iPod is registered in. Try to type your passcode in again. If you totally forgot your passcode then Restore your iPod which will wipe out everything on it!

∙ 13y agoIf you enter the passcode wrong too many times, it will disable itself. And each time you do it, the amount of time the iPod is disabled increases. There is no way to undisable it. You just have to wait until the time is up.

∙ 11y agogo to itunes.com/undisable then hook up your ipod/iphone/ipad and let it sit then call apple and tell them what version it is then tell them your pin code on the back and they will ask you do you know your password or not and if you know it they will put it in the computer and it will unlock and it will delete most/all of your stuff but it will be updated.
