How do you unlock all the characters in brawl?

If you are talking about Super Smash Bros Brawl for the Wii, then you can unlock most characters on The Subspace Emissiary which is the easy way because you don't have to fight most of them, or you can unlock them in Brawl mode by playing a certain amount of times. Characters like Toon Link, Jigglypuff, Wolf, you can't unlock them in the Supspace Emisarry, or "Story Mode."

Easiest way: Play through the subspace emissary beat it then go to the forest, swamp and ruins level to find secret red doors that lead to the last three characters then guess what you already have unlocked all the characters.
