First clear all codes. remove the neg. battery cable for 10 sec. then turn the radio on it will display CODE. Enter the 5 digit numbers using the preset buttons numbered 1 to 6.
Yes above answer is right but don't forget you need to take out your radio and get the serial number off it and call your local Honda dealer to get the code to reset it.
The radio has an antitheft feature that locks the radio any time battery power is lost to the unit. You will need the security code to unlock it. Look in the glove box for a sticker that has the radio serial number on it. If not there, then you will have to remove the radio to get it. Take this number and your car's registration to the local dealer and he can look up your code. Enter this 5 digit number when you turn the radio on, and it should return to normal.
You unlock it by inserting the 5 digit code which is specific to your radio. If you do not have the code, you will have to contact your Honda Dealer. The original selling dealer may have the code on file. If not you will have to remove the radio and get the serial # off the chassis. With this serial # any Honda dealer can provide the correct code. There is no other way to unlock the radio than with that code.
You can also go to the Honda Owner's Link I will post and sign up. On that link with your VIN # you can get the code if the radio is an OEM radio.
If you didn't receive, or record, the radio security code when you bought it, you will need to remove the radio from the dash and obtain the number from the back of the radio. That number along with the VIN - take it to your local Honda dealer or call the Honda 800 Customer Service Number, and they should be able to give you the unlock code for your radio.
Insert the correct code in the radio when it asks for it. When the words code appear, simply insert the 5 digit code. Insert the wrong code on 3 ocassions and radio will lock up and accept no more codes. If you do not know the code, you will have to remove the radio, and get the serial # off the radio chassis. With that serial #, a Honda dealer can provide the code. Might want to contact the original selling Honda dealer before proceeding. They may have the code stored in their computer system.
