How do you use dry ice to temporarily keep refrigerator cold?

One Answer

The best thing to do is to wrap the dry ice in newspaper this wil make it last longer and stop you from getting burnt while handling it. place it in the top of the fridge and close the door. Keep an eye on it to make sure you have enough dry ice in there.

Another Answer

Do not place the dry ice on the top shelf of the refrigerator unless you want the items below to freeze. Place the wrapped block on a lower shelf. A 10lb block should last 12-24 hours.
