Well, this is the way I use it, and it makes my hair really shiny, soft, and tangle-free:
First, shampoo your hair as you normally would, then, after rinsing out all your shampoo, take about 1 cup of lemon juice and lather it into your hair. Rinse all the lemon juice out, and then condition your hair. Rinse out the conditioner, dry your hair, and your hair should be really shiny and soft. Hope this works for you! :)
