In November 2009, the Walt Disney Company announced plans for the Shanghai Disneyland Resort in China. It is expected to open in 2014.
No other plans have been announced at this time, although Disney CEO Bob Iger has said that international expansion is one of the company's top priorities.
The newest rides at Walt Disney World for 2012 are coming in slow installments. Early this year, in the coming months, WDW will open the new Dumbo attraction, including 2 Dumbo rides instead of one, in the Magic Kingdom. Also, later this year WDW will open a Little Mermaid themed attraction and possibly a new Beauty and the Beast themed dining opportunity. Many more attractions and character meet-n-greets are coming in 2013 to the Magic Kingdom!
I almost forgot that the Dumbo "Circus World" area is replacing the Mickey's Toontown Fair. So, when you go, you will not be able to explore Mickey or Minnie's homes any longer. :( Sorry!
The Disney Company comes up with the concepts for the rides, but the engineering, fabrication and installation is done by contractors that specialize in amusement park ride design and construction.
Probably not anytime soon. But they improve the parks all the time. They just put in a Fantasy Land. I have been there. Right now there is not alot open. But it is still really fun.
There aren't any additional theme parks set to be added to Disney World, however, Pandora the World of Avatar was added to Animal Kingdom in May 2017 & Star Wars Galaxy's Edgeis set to open in Hollywood Studios [& Disneyland] in 2019.
To the best of my knowledge, Disney has no immediate plans for new parks in Disney World. The current construction in Disney World is being done as additions/extensions to the existing parks rather than the creation of an entirely new park.
