Blue tooth key board is a type of keyboard it can run with mobile bluetooth
really depends on the type of keyboard you get there is ones that work on the 2.4GHz frequency that has some sort of USB adapter/dongle there are some Bluetooth keyboard which use either your devices built in Bluetooth or again connects to a Bluetooth Adapter/Dongle older style "wireless" keyboards used radio frequency there was normally a USB Dongle with a cord that you would put on the desk or in sight of the keyboard because they would have to "see" each other
If it runs on Bluetooth, you can use it with all your iDevices
Yes, bluetooth can work on different frequencys and hence you keyboard and mouse should have no problem talking to you computer withount any troubles, If you get a conflict with a similar device in range you can usually reset the device via a reset button on either the keyboard or mouse and it should designate itself a new frequency ;) enjoy
You may need to enter a BlueTooth passcode from the keyboard. Hold down the connect or link button on the keyboard, and then go to the iPad. In Settings Bluetooth, look for the keyboard. It may ask you to type in a numeric passcode to pair the two together. Type this in, and the Bluetooth icon should light at the top of the screen. If you have done this already, your keyboard's batteries may be dead.
On the latest update with Apple TV - apple made their TV compatible with the Apple Bluetooth keyboard. To pair the devices, on Apple TV go to settings - Bluetooth - Turn the Bluetooth and The keyboard on - After searching the TV should find the keyboard (if it is in range) When it does it will ask you to type in a 4 digit code on the keyboard to pair the 2 devices. You can then use the arrow keys on the keyboard to navigate, the ESC key to go back and the keys to search for Music, Films, Youtube...
First off the keyboard must be a Bluetooth keyboard such as an Apple Buletooth keyboard. Secondly you must have Bluetooth turned on and it must be discoverable. To turn it on and make it discoverable click System Preferences in the Dock and then choose Bluetooth from the screen that comes up. There you will see ON & Discoverable. Click each box and then close out the screen. Turn on your Bluetooth keyboard and it will pair with your iMac.
