To increase friction, the car goes faster so that the air resistance becomes greater. To decrease friction the car goes slower to decrease the air resistance acting on the car.
Hope that helped:)
Deceasing friction increases efficiency and reduces heat loss.
Friction will decrease if the coefficient of friction decreases. This can be caused by having a smother surface up to a point. (When two surface are TOO smooth the friction actually increases due to molecular attraction.)
-- The friction force changes, and is directly proportional to the normal force. -- The coefficient of friction doesn't change. It is the proportionality constant in the first statement.
Acceleration increases when force increases and decreases when force decreases.
The relationship between friction and the efficiency of a machine is when friction increases, efficiency decreases, and vice versa. That is why you can never have 100% efficiency, because there is always at least a little friction. They are inversely proportional, meaning, higher friction equals less efficiency.

the front boot of the car increases the friction on the car
There is less friction from the bed and banks of the river downstream (where the gradiant decreases) so the velocity increases.

Its viscosity decreases, which allows it to flow easier.
Friction increases or decreases based on the surface changes. If a box were sliding down a smooth hill that suddenly becomes quite rough, then friction would increase. It would be the same vice versa for decreasing friction.

As the weight of a car increases, the miles per gallon decreases.
Acceleration increases when force increases and decreases when force decreases.
Air resistance increases when the speed of an object increases until it reaches terminal velocity. At this point the object is going as fast as it can, and if all forces remain the same the friction will not get any higher
friction decreases the acceleration of a car by creating a greater force which pushes against the acceleration force. the friction is a force, but more of it means that whatever is pushing against it ( acceleration in this case) is made smaller.
