Fruit is dispersion. When a flower is pollenated, it closes up and becomes a fruit,

which then finally is either eaten and goes out as faeces or it just rots and lets the seed bury itself in the ground.

Some plants produce fruits which are fleshy and cover the seed inside. When eaten the seed passes through the digestive system and is ejected in the droppings. Other seeds catch on to the fur of passing animals and may drop off far away from the parent plant.
