They wouldn't. If a criminal is sentenced to 200 years in prison, he will basically stay there until the day he dies. Each crime has a sentence, and some are more extreme than others (the severity depends on the criminal act committed.) So when someone is sent to prison for 200 years, they will never get out because no one can live that long. 200 years in a life sentence.
