Shetland ponies tend to be quite mischievous and sometimes a little bit aggressive. They can be friendly , but careful when you get on ones back ! Last time i rode one i got slammed against the fence , and nearly landed in barbed wire.

The character of a shetland pony is strong and legandary. Though small, they are strong-minded and will not be dominated, as many young riders have found out. Some shetlands are more fiesty than others- it depends how they are brought up.

shetlands, like all horses, have a wide range of personalities. Although, many find these ponies as stubborn, or classify them with a "pony attitude." This means very little though, a well trained cart shetland or a piding pony doesn't always behave in that manor.

Shetland ponies enjoy nature. They are outdoor animals so they enjoy being in fields of grass where they can run and play. Most Shetland ponies are also trained to that people can ride them. They enjoy this if they are taken on long walks where they can enjoy the scenery.
