Effects of Breast CancerBreast cancer can rapidly spread to other parts of the body through the lymphatic system, and sometimes because of its proximity to the major body organs of the lung and heart. If left untreated, it will cause death, as it also may if not detected in the early stages before entering the lymphatic system. AnswerIf the breast cancer is not detected early enough it can spread into the bone areas.

Basically Cancer makes cells reproduce crazily and can jump to other parts of the body. If left untreated it can shut down a organ and kill you.

Firstly, it is Mian Khalid Mehmood RG Pharmaceutica to say that not all cancers kill you. Overall, more than 50% of people diagnosed with cancer live for more than 5 years. Some cancers have survival rates of more than 90%. Secondly, cancer at an early stage does not kill you. So, a lot of effort is put into early diagnosis when treatment is likely to work best. Cancers can cause death in more than one way. So there is no single answer to this question. It really depends on the type of cancer you have and which parts of your body are affected. There are some examples below.

Some types of cancer can spread to take over part of the body that does something essential for life. For example, if a cancer is growing in part of the digestive system, it can block it so that food cannot go through the intestines. If food cannot pass through, then your food can't be absorbed.

If cancer affects the lungs, then eventually there is not enough healthy lung tissue to allow you to absorb enough oxygen. Or the cancer can block off part of the lung. This part then collapses and often becomes infected. If you have advanced cancer, you may not have the strength to fight off an infection, even with strong antibiotics. So the infection can eventually lead to death.

Every woman is an individual and if she has been diagnosed with breast cancer, the effects to her body may vary from woman to woman.

The basics of breast cancer though can best be described as cells in the breast area begin to grow rapidly, either invading healthy tissue nearby or spreading to other areas of the body. Once these uncontrollable large mass of cells form, they become referred to as tumors. Tumors are considered either benign (non-life threatening) or malignant (cancerous).

If brest cancer is not treated, it kills people. If it is caught early and removed, it usually does nothing. The sooner it is removed, the less likely it is to kill the patient. The more the patient delays, the more likely death will be the final outcome.

It makes it look different. It can make the breast look smaller or infected. Though it can also cause swelling (enlargement), but usually into odd shapes.

The greater risk is not appearance; however, it is the affect it can have on other systems and organs in the body. If the cancer metastasizes than it can affect everything by spreading, eventually leading to death.

Primarily it develops within the breast, but once it metastasizes, the cancer cells can spread to just about anywhere in the body affecting the function of other critical organs.
