Batman's night job is the protector of the fictional city, Gotham. Despite him having no superpowers he is still classed as a superhero. Batman fights the crime that the Gotham Police are so unwillingly able to compete with. Amongst the melancholy madness that the city has grown to be like, Batman has and always will be known for his utter determination to keep the people of Gotham safe. All too often we see him in the comics and films fighting against the worst of people, including the Joker, Poison Ivy, Two-face and the Riddler.
Technically, yes. Batman prefers "working" at night so he rarely is out during the day but don't forget Batman is also Bruce Wayne, who of course has to be out during the day. He will be out in costume if he is needed though.
Only one ... the sun. It's quite a different matter on a cloudless night.
batman doesn't die

it depends what you look for if you look for a planet you might want to head to a field on a cloudless night with no street lights
