Besides lacking cell organelles, bacteria have another big difference between them and other organisms. They do not use mitosis or meiosis. They reproduce simply by binary fission. The cell is constantly replicating DNA, and when there is enough, the cell splits in two. Because of this, bacteria are capable of vary rapid reproduction.

Monerans reproduce asexually and sexually. Asexual reproduction involves binary fission (splitting apart) or endospore production. Sexual reproduction requires neighboring cells forming bridge connections for the transfer of DNA.

What is mode of reproduction of monera?

There are two types of monera reproduction. One kind is Binary Fission, and the other is sexual reproduction. In the Binary Fission process, a monera splits its DNA into two. Then the DNA moves to opposite ends. After that, the cell walls start to break, which is called "cell wall synthesis." For the sexual reproduction, two moneras attach and make a new monera.
