If the tools are mase of metal containing iron then they will rust, especially if wet. This is caused by oxidation of the iron by oxygen in the atmosphere (or dissolved in water) to form soft iron oxide.
Metals get rust because of oxygen. To explain, when air (which has oxygen in it) is able to get to the metal after a period of time rust starts to appear (Rust is also called iron oxide. So rust appears only appears on iron.)
When a drop of water hits an iron object, two things begin to happen almost immediately. First, the water, a good electrolyte, combines with carbon dioxide in the air to form a weak carbonic acid, an even better electrolyte. As the acid is formed and the iron dissolved, some of the water will begin to break down into its component pieces -- hydrogen and oxygen. The free oxygen and dissolved iron bond into iron oxide, in the process freeing electrons. The electrons liberated from the anode portion of the iron flow to the cathode, which may be a piece of a metal less electrically reactive than iron, or another point on the piece of iron itself.
oxidation. water speeds up the process tho. it's really caused from metal not being protected by paint etc
In CDT we used some steel wool and some elbow grease (tinned lol ^_^)
Hope This Helps!
Rush starts when metal is left out in the rain or in water.
keep them away from water
The can is made of steel, thinly coated with tin or another non corrosive metal. If the can gets scratched, then the steel can start to rust.
The oxygen dissolved in the water combines with the iron to form iron oxide, or rust (Fe2O3H2O).
No, it does not rust.
they will not rust into a liquid but they can rust and they can be turned into a liquid
No! Glass will not rust!
It'll rust away faster, but (assuming they're made from the same alloy) won't start to rust faster.
amazingy the answer is hot humid cimates where the oxide can react with the outside pluatrian of the metal which will start the rust to form.
Leave it in salt water overnight and it will start to rust. Copper rusts a green color. You can accelerate the action with a little bleach if you really want it to rust quickly.
It might start to rust.
It might start to rust.
before you play make sure your hands are not to sweaty or oily. the moisture can cause rust. also there are many string cleaners that can prevent it. not playing the guitar for long periods of time can also allow rust to start.

Plastic pipe does not rust, brass does not rust, copper does not rust. Stainless steel does not rust, lead pipe does not rust.
Something that is rust resistant will not rust easily; minor exposure to water will not cause it to rust. Something that is rust proof will not rust.
No they will not get rust they are not iron to get rust. only iron get rust.
just start pulling cutting scraping and a LOT of sanding to get ALL the rust off the top. Then put a rust stop primer on it before anything Eal's.
