it attaches to the bottom of the window by way of a clamp.
The regulator needs replaced. They are run up and down by cables and plastic pulleys. There is a broken pulley, which is causing the cable to not operate correctly.
window regulator cable is broken need new regulator
If it is not a bad switch, the cable moving the window up and down probably came loose or broke. The window regulator comes as an assembly which includes the motor, cable and track. It costs around $70. The passenger window on mine did this. I have found that if I grasp the top of the window and move it forward, toward the front of the car it gets back on track and works fine.
Push it, or put it on a surface angled down, or attach a battery to it.
bad power window motor
You hold down ctrl and move the mouse wheel.
Gravity pulls you down that's how you move. The friction when you put your hand on the cable slows you down

Well I actually just replaced this. The motor was still operational because I could hear it trying to move the window. Unfortunately as you know the window did not move up and down. After removing the door panel I realized that the cable had broken. In order to fix this you must replace the whole assebly. You can not just replace the cable. The assebly includes everything that comes factory, i.e. - motor, rails, etc. The cable is all one piece and is regulated for every up down motion and therefore this why the cable can not be replaced by itself. I purchased from eBay for about $50. The dealer WILL CHARGE about $250 and most auto part stores do not stock, but they can get for about $225. I was able to replace the whole assebly in about 45mins with help. Someone should hold onto glass while the other unscrews and changes out the assembly. Hope this helps.
This will not reset your window location, but you will be able to get your window back on the screen so you can move it around. 1) Open the program whose window you need to reset. 2) Select the program from the task bar. 3) Press Alt+Space+M to move the window you have selected with the arrow keys. 4) Move the window left, right, up, or down with the arrow keys until it is visible.
what we can do to move a window and its content simultanously?
Anyone have prob w/ sentra power window? Won't go up or down. IF YOUR WINDOW IS NOT MOVING AT ALL(UP OR DOWN) IT IS YOUR MOTOR BUT IF IT IS MOVING EITHER UP OR DOWN, MEANING IT WILL MOVE ONE DIRECTION BUT NOT ANOTHER THEN IT'S YOUR SWITCH
