What is the climax of Artemis Fowl the lost colony?

Well, pretty much what happened was when they were coming back from Limbo, they went a few years ahead of what was originally planned. So pretty much they weren't around for a few years. Artemis was dropped off at butlers' private place, and Artemis is informed his parents have moved on and had twins. he decides he has to use the magic he has left from the time tunnel to make his parents forget he was gone for 3 years.

If you are talking about the series as a whole, then the above poster is correct. However, you might be talking about the first book in the series, titled simply 'Artemis Fowl'. In that book, it ends by Artemis, Juliet, and Butler take tranquilizer pills and escape the time freeze, thus escaping the bio-bomb. Holly revives Artemis's mother with a wish, and gets half the gold back.

The first book ends when the fairies deliver the ransom for Holly Short's kidnapping. Then Artemis pays Holly half the gold to heal his mother of her madness. After that, Artemis Butler, and Juliet take tranquilizer pills and become unconscious, therefore escaping the bio-bomb that the LEP detonate.

As said, the series is yet to end. Even so, there is a rumor (repeat, RUMOR) that the eighth book is about this.

Opal escaped imprisonment (10 years younger) when she took the portal to go to present time. Opal then broke herself out, but her own time called her back. In the Prologue though, it explains Opal breaking into a prison and the line ending "She then gingerly turned the log, and the prison door creaked open". Later revealed, that was the present time Opal breaking out Jon Spiro. Opal explained the fairy's world and how they had a common enemy to be killed : Artemis Fowl. Meanwhile, Artemis is in Haven helping Foaly with an expirement, but somehow Foaly accidentally knocks Artemis and Holly into a fuse pod (which he was trying to use with a troll and a fairy to try and make them more peaceful), binding Artemis back into a half fairy (leaving Holly unnafected). After a while, Artemis encounters the first Koboi-Spiro attack, which is intervined with Minerva Paradizio, who helps Artemis escape. Artemis uses his new magic for different situations, but mesmers Minverva to not knowing about fairies or magic. In the end, one or two of the main charactors are planned to die, along with both of the villians of the book. One of the main charactors as a sacrifice to save the others, and if two, one died in one of Koboi-Spiro's attacks.

This is HIGHLY unlikely though, as most of this does not bind with the other books, let alone how the summary and ending is leaked. Again, as stated, RUMOR which MAY (but highly unlikely) be true.

Artemis gives half the gold back to the people to buy a wish from Holly and he restores the fortune. The wish was to give sanity back to his mother and butler almost kills a troll but holly says not to after healing him.

Artemis and Butler were sent a loop through the security cameras, they discover this and that the LEP sent in the dwarf reprobate Mulch Diggums to find out the source of Artemis' information and to see if he can find Holly. A troll is sent in after that, which Butler defeats with Holly's help.
