I recently replaced pulley on Power Steering pump by taking it to a local garage they have a special puller to remove it and press it back on the new pump cost about 10 dollars
It varies by engine.
On the front of the engine.
bum willy bum
yes water is coming out of this little hole in the water pump
The 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Sierra thermostat is located on the front of the engine. You can follow the water supply line from the radiator to the thermostat housing.
A 1990 Cutlass Ciera might hesitate and sputter when the gas pedal is depressed because of water in the fuel or because of damaged or dirty fuel injectors. You might also have an issue with the wiring or the distributor.
On a 1999 Olds Cutlass, the water pump is located in the engine compartment under the hood. It is on the motor on the passenger side of the vehicle.
On the four cylinder it is directly behind the fan pully. on a six cylinder it is behind the timing cover and is timing belt driven.
I Have 94 Probe 4 cylinder that squealed when I started it. the pully on the water pump was lose
wrap the belt around the pully to hold pully still
the cam position sensor is just below the water pump pulley in the front timing cover. Master
You may want to consider replacing the thermostat.
how to change water pump on 1996 olds ciera and what tools do i nees
Where is the water pump on a 1995 olds cutlass supreme?"
it runs off serp belt. its toward yhr ft. there 3 bolts holding pully to pump. not much harder than taking belt off.
If you referring to the anti-freeze/coolant. Any name brand coolant will be fine. I have a 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, and I recently flushed and refilled the coolant system. I used PRESTONE. I used to 50/'50 mix they sell (already mixed). That way you don't have to mix your own antifreeze. The recommended mixture is 50/50, that's what is recommended for the Cutlass Ciera. Other mixtures are 70 (coolant)/ 30 (water). If you are going to mix it yourself make sure you use distilled water, and make sure you mix it prior to putting in the vehicle. The short answer though, just get some Prestone 50/50 anti-freeze. That's your best bet.
look at your belts. the pully between your motor and the altenator. This is your water pump pully. The back end of the unit should be attached to your motor block.
Remove the bolts in the front of the pully it's a tight spot a ratchet wrench works pretty good here.
the water pump is located on the left side of the engine mid way down. remove the belt and then the pully. the pump is located behind of the pully. there is not much room and it is not easy to replace,
I have a knocking noise near the water pump pully or idler arm pully on my 94 chevy cavalier 2.2 motor when its at idle, if i give it more gas the noise will go away do you know what this could be? i took off the tension idle pully and checked the bearing and it was fine.
The water jacket is on the out side of the cylinder and in side the out side casing. If you are wanting to know what is in the water it is anti freeze.
Yes. The seal for the water pump is bad. Replace it.
The water pump is located under the timing belt/ front pully cover you need to remove the front engine mount, all belts, crankshaft pully, then remove the cover ( its in two parts) and the camshaft /timing belt as it drives the water pump. Good time to also replace the belt. best to remove the front wheel to get at the crankshaft pully
