say for example-- if one will spins the others kick in and provide the control of vehicle. this is what a traction control does.
No, the traction control system will not work but no damage will be done. You can drive it in this condition if you wish.
Depends on what is wrong with it. My traction control did not work as long as there was a problem with one of the ABS wheel sensors - the two functions are tightly integrated.
cruise control does not work on 98 astro van
THE TRACTION CONTROL SENSOR IS INTERGRATED INTO THE ABS CONTROL MODULE. EBCM (ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE). THIS IS LOCATED ON THE DRIVER FRONT INNER FENDER WELL. THIS UNIT HAS STEEL LINES AND ELECTRICAL WIRE COMING OUT OF IT....WHEN THIS MESSES UP ABS LIGHT AND TRACTION CONTROL DOES NOT WORK.. DEALER PRICE ON EBCM IS $850.00 PLUS LABOR!
no way i tryed that swap and didnt work ecu computer changed
Because your brakes don't work and you need to fix your car smart guy.
open the hood and look up, it will be right in front of you. If that does not work, you can buy a haynes or chiltons manual.
one of the switches are bad and it is grounding out the other ones, probably the one that works.
Blower motor resistor...around $25 on eBay
No, it has a Electronic Control Module fuse. It will prevent the spark and injectors to not work.
It should fit if both cars had that engine from the factory. If the 1996 was a Z24 (2.4L), then there will be differences - most likely with engine electronics. Hope this helps!
Though I don't have a 2001, I can tell you that most are now using torx bolts instead of hex keys.
the engine that you have in your 01 cavalier WILL NOT work in a 95-00 cavalier. They changed the type of motor that they used in 01. They went from the 2200 I4, to the 2.2l Ecotec in 01. It has more h.p. stock and the spec are completely different then the 3rd gen motors. It will work but you have to change the top end of the motor in other words the block is interchangeable It will fit into the 1997 because cavaliers have sets of years that the cars have same parts like for a 1995 u can fit a 86 engine because Chevy didn't change their specs. I have a 01 trans in my 96. So as long as u get the right specs on your engine it should match ur trans and it will work.
They create down force on the car for more traction and car control. F1 Spoilers act in the same way as an airplane wing, only upside down, creating low pressure areas under the spoilers. They create down force on the car for more traction and car control.
Sounds like the lights maybe shorted out. You'll have to trace the wires back to check for damage. Could be a long slow process, good luck.
Maybe, as long as both vehicles had the 2200 4-cylinder engine. The S10's motor might be slighty different tuning wise because it was used in a truck. Even if both motors are OHV 2200's they still might not work due to the fact a S10 is RWD/4WD and a Cavalier is FWD.
Brake light switch runs through your headlight/turn signal seitch in steering column. This switch could be malfunctioning.
Start by changing the fuel filter as this may just be coincidence. Normally a fuel pump that does not work during warmer temperatures is defective and must be replaced.
Yes, if it will bolt up and the pulley is the same it will work.
I have a '01 that I purchased brand new. Just passed 135K. Never had any major work done but I'm expecting it to go pretty soon.
there are 4 speed sensors in each wheel hub that detect the wheel speed to correlate with your abs or traction control.... if any of the sensors are defective or nonop your light will come on on the dash and the abs or traction control may not work properly. i got quoted 600$ to repair the lr on my 96 aurora,, so i am trying to get the instructions on how to do it myself. so if you find out let me know,,,, randy there are 4 speed sensors in each wheel hub that detect the wheel speed to correlate with your abs or traction control.... if any of the sensors are defective or nonop your light will come on on the dash and the abs or traction control may not work properly. i got quoted 600$ to repair the lr on my 96 aurora,, so i am trying to get the instructions on how to do it myself. so if you find out let me know,,,, randy
It can need a new slave or master cyl. TAke it to a garage as it is hard to bleed and to work on.
Possibly both of them are burned out (common). You were running on only one for a while and then that one burned out. The indicator would still be lit.
