Yes, because it doesn't destroy in any way without harming environment.

E.G=

1. If we burn them then it cause pollution.

2. If we put it in the ground then it will not destroy. However, if it destroys then it will form methane gas.

3. If we simply throw it then some day someone will burn it or put it in the ground.

But now government has started making roads with plastic. However, plastic is even causing pollution now.

plastic bags are not biodegradable, so they get littered onto a wasteland which causes soil erosion causing damage and harm to the trees. If plastic bags are burnt, they emit hazardous gases causing air pollution which causes damage on the ozone layer.

---- No way plastics are not good for the environment because it cant be buried(non-biodegradable),its can be burnt(releases geses),cant be thrown in the sea(kills fishes)and it can be stored on our homes(takes up space!).so,its is useless and can easily be substituted by cloth bags. ----

Stupid people are harmful to the environment rather than plastic; plastic is one of the many things they can misuse, generally by discarding it improperly. Some plastics may contain unreacted monomer, some of which (e.g. acrylonitrile) are not exactly the healthiest of substances to have around. If these leach out of the plastic, they can get into groundwater and cause problems. Also, most synthetic plastics are not biodegradable. That means they stick around for a very long time. They can be eaten by animals, but since they don't break down this can cause digestive problems. In some forms they can present a physical danger to animals. Six-pack holder rings, for example, can trap small animals (by getting caught around a neck or a foot or something). Many plastics are ultimately derived from petroleum, the production and transportation of which has its own problems, though the amount used in plastic is pretty minor compared to the amount used as fuel.

Plastic causes serious damage to environment both during its production and disposal. It is a non-biodegradable material composed of toxic chemicals it pollutes not only ecosystems but human health.

Plastic affects human health for they may have chemical such as vinyl chloride and are benzene known that breathing the noxious fumes that hurt cells in the lung lining, increasing the risk of emphysema and cancer.

If plastic gets into the environment it is a hazard to all life living in the water environment and land. Fish, birds, marine mammals, reptiles, and other animals can become entangled in discarded plastics and sustain injuries from ingesting plastics. Lost nets go on to do what they were planned to do catch living animals but now they catch them accidentally, a process called "ghost fishing."

During the production of plastic are synthetic chemicals like ethylene oxide, benzene and xylenes. . The resins in the plastic are flammable and have added considerably to several accidents worldwide.

Plastic does not undergo bacterial decomposition, disposing in land fills would preserve the chemicals forever. If you burn, plastic it releases a poisonous chemical into the air, including dioxin, a deadly toxin. Should the land fills leak our water, oceans rivers and streams supply gets poisoned

Recycling plastic degrades in quality and necessitates the production of more new plastic to make the original product.

the use of plastic can be harmful to the environment because you often can't reuse it without chemicals getting into the plastic so you throw it away so harmful chemicals get into the landfill

Yes plastics are so much bad for environment. It causes sand pollution, air pollution(on burn). Since it does not decompose we cannot vanish it. So we should minimize the use of plastics and product related to ti.
