There are a few things that happen. 1. First of all your pupils Dilate for a number of reason. A. To let in more light so you will be able to see in the dark and protect yourself against any threats. B. To open you peripheral vision to the max so you can see all your surroundings. An example that I've seen is a Zebra being chased by a Pride of Lions and the Zebra's Eyes Expanded and it was able to maneuver a lot easier since the lions could not blindside the Zebra. 2. Your Heart begins to race almost uncontrollable This is where your adrenalin kicks in. This will allow you to use all your strengh all at one time ,but only for a very insignificant amount of time, to fight off any threats. 3. You Scream. Two Reasons that I know of are A. It's in instinct reaction. There is a chance that you might startle the threat and that will be the end of it. B. To alert near by Allies, to summon help, other Humans. Just about every mammal has this reaction built in. Jump behind a dog it will squeal like a pig, and a cat It jumps up in the air and lets a horrible cry. 4. You Sweat- You begin to sweat so if the threat is large enough to grab you, it will be harder to keep you in place. You become slippery in other words. I hope I helped. There is a lot other facts that happen I just forgot them, Like you jump up for a reason. Please re-post if anyone knows.

Fight or flight. The adrenal gland secretes 'adrenaline' (also known as Epinephrine) and this prepares the body as correctly mentioned above for 'fight or flight'
