Numerous studies have been done, including those by the federal government. The general conclusions are that no types of cancers or cell changed have been detected under cellphone usage against one's head. Of course, time well tell in reference to your question, as scientific studies are just that; science. Even if a low percentage of people did get cancer from cellphones, I would presume it wouldn't happen until late in life, when you'd most likely die of something else anyway. So keep utilizing those night and weekend minutes without any fears! And as far as health problems; there are people who claim they are "EMF Sensitive", so presumably most of these people will claim it affects their health. However, these people would be better off seeing a psychiatrist to ward of the nausea and sickness they (irrelevantly & factitiously) encounter from exposure to less than 1 watt of transmit power.

No, but if your ringtone is too loud, you could lose your hearing. SO BE CAREFUL!!!!

The affects on human health have been under constant debate for many years, specifically if the radiation emitted is enough to be damaging to the brain. It has been proven that depending on how close the cell phone antenna is to your head, between 20% and 60% of the radiation emitted by your cell phone is transferred into your head. The radiation actually penetrates the area around your head and is absorbed, with some radiation reaching an inch, to an inch and a half, into your brain.

Dr. George Carlo, PhD, JD, is an epidemiologist and medical scientist who, from 1993 to 1999, headed the first telecommunications industry-backed studies into the dangers of cell phone use. He ran afoul of the very industry that hired him when his work revealed preventable health hazards associated with cell phone use. His studies concluded that cell phone radiation caused DNA damage, impaired DNA repair, and interfered with cardiac pacemakers. European research later confirmed Dr. Carlo's findings.

European studies suggest that cell phone radiation contributes to brain dysfunction, tumors, and potentially to conditions such as autism, attention deficit disorder, neurodegenerative disease, and behavioral and psychological problems. Until further research into cellphone radiation is done or accepted, it is generally recommended that you use a headset at all times in order to maximize the distance between your head and the cellphone.

And more...

At the time of this writing (2012 Feb) there is no concrete evidence that cell phone usage has any immediate or long term physiological health effects at all. While radiation emmissions have, in the past, been a point of contention, there is no acceptable evidence published at this time indicating cell phones present a health hazard.

A note on Dr. George Carlo. Carlo worked with Dow Chemical, promoting the idea that dioxins were harmless (we now accept dioxins as a carcinogen). Carlo's CV also shows pro-smoking input, and a Congressional inquiry as to methods, with the optimum quote being, "Carlo seems to have spent $17.5 of the geverment's money without even getting a test tube wet."

First promoting the safety of cell phones, after his federally funded "study" completed, he did an immediate about-face and started promoting the damgers of cell phones, including a book on the topic. Now, it's indicated that Carlo has started a training center that teaches how to develop an income from the cell phone companies via tort style litigation.

Input from Dr. George Carlo is often questions and appears to be suspect. Consider a more objective, less well-funced source for information.

There are studies that would say so, however it is heavily debated and fought over. While most of the arguments have been over the EMF transmissions of the phones causing harmful side affects, the real danger is in distracted driving. There is no way to argue against the fact that driving while using a cell phone is not only dangerous, but deadly.

Radiation comes off your mobile phone when you are talking to somebody. When your holding your phone against your ear when on the phone radiation goes to your brain and if you are constantly on the phone it burns a little bit of your brain. When i heard this i always put my phone on loud speaker.

Possibly No, but if the screen were of a Microwave oven then a definite yes..! The main 'screen' where you watch the food cook (Hopefully from across the kitchen) is were dangerous energy known as Microwave (2.4Ghz) is being transmitted.

You have very important seals and a metal screen known as the faraday.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faraday_cage Sadly most cellphones are by

frequency MORE powerful than a microwave. Many Cellphones operate 24/7

in the 3ghz+ range towards Radar etc.. Keeping in mind these are next to

you face and BRAIN. (Both you do NOT want operated on) Now the leaks

from the Microwave (Lets call it what it is) Cellphone through the crack(s)

has an open gateway to both face and brain, eyes etc..

Now if there was any metallics in the screen (many do have) for tinting, RF and

other reasons then you crack it. It is now when your getting PURE Microwave

leakage into your face, eyes etc.. Also keep in mind that when Police were getting CANCERS from their Microwave/Radar/Cellphone Frequency gun was due to its close proximity. So the final answer is YES it can and WILL and HAS caused health problems. (If You Call Eye, Testicle,Breast REMOVAL a health 'problem')

Everything else would fall under Deadly like Brain, Eye, Sinus, Throat Cancer etc.

Mobiles transmit their calls using radio waves in the 'microwave' portion of the radio spectrum. This is exactly the same type of energy that cooks food in a microwave oven (though the phone uses much lower power levels). The worry is, that the radio waves travel from the phone' built-in antenna in all directions - including into the users skull. This means that prolonged use could cause the part of the brain closest to the phone to heat up possibly giving cause to problems Tests are still ongoing to see if there's any lasting damage to the brain of high-users.

There are three main reasons why people are concerned that cell phones (also known as "wireless" or "mobile" telephones) might have the potential to cause certain types of cancer or other health problems:

  • Cell phones emit radiofrequency energy (radio waves), a form of non-ionizing radiation. Tissues nearest to where the phone is held can absorb this energy.
  • The number of cell phone users has increased rapidly. As of 2010, there were more than 303 million subscribers to cell phone service in the United States, according to the Cellular Telecommunications and internet Association. This is a nearly threefold increase from the 110 million users in 2000. Globally, the number of cell phone subscriptions is estimated by the International Telecommunications Union to be 5 billion.
  • Over time, the number of cell phone calls per day, the length of each call, and the amount of time people use cell phones have increased. Cell phone technology has also undergone substantial changes.

Also, Radiofrequency energy is a form of electromagnetic radiation. Electromagnetic radiation can be categorized into two types: ionizing (e.g., x-rays, radon, and cosmic rays) and non-ionizing (e.g., radiofrequency and extremely low-frequency or power frequency).

Exposure to ionizing radiation, such as from radiation therapy, is known to increase the risk of cancer. However, although many studies have examined the potential health effects of non-ionizing radiation from radar, microwave ovens, and other sources, there is currently no consistent evidence that non-ionizing radiation increases cancer risk (1).

The only known biological effect of radiofrequency energy is heating. The ability of microwave ovens to heat food is one example of this effect of radiofrequency energy. Radiofrequency exposure from cell phone use does cause heating; however, it is not sufficient to measurably increase body temperature.

A recent study showed that when people used a cell phone for 50 minutes, brain tissues on the same side of the head as the phone's antenna metabolized more glucose than did tissues on the opposite side of the brain (2). The researchers noted that the results are preliminary, and possible health outcomes from this increase in glucose metabolism are still unknown.

How do mobile affects human health?

The effects of mobile phone radiation on human health are still being studied and debated. While some studies have suggested that long-term exposure to radiofrequency (RF) radiation from mobile phones may increase the risk of certain types of cancer, such as brain tumors, the evidence is not yet clear. The World Health Organization (WHO) classifies RF radiation as a possible human carcinogen, but the levels emitted by mobile phones are considered to be low and not a significant health concern. However, there are some other potential health effects associated with mobile phone use that have been identified: Headaches and dizziness: Some people may experience headaches or dizziness when using mobile phones, particularly if they use them for long periods of time. Sleep disruption: The blue light emitted by mobile phones can affect the body's production of melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep. This can lead to insomnia and other sleep disorders. Eye strain: Prolonged use of mobile phones can cause eye strain, dry eyes, and blurred vision. Texting thumb: Repetitive use of mobile phones can lead to pain and inflammation in the thumbs and fingers, known as texting thumb. Increased stress: Constantly checking and responding to messages and notifications on mobile phones can increase stress levels. my recommendation to protect yourself against radiation: สœแด›แด›แด˜๊œฑ://ส™ษชแด›.สŸส/แด‡แด๊œฐแด…แด‡๊œฐแด‡ษดแด…แด‡ส€
