Several car magazines tested this car with the 6 speed in '93 stated 141 MPH but I remember one stating they pushed it to 150 MPH ( HOT ROD - I think )
I have the 93 Car and Driver magazine that road tested the Mustang Cobra, Trans Am, and Z28. It tested the max speed on the stock Z28 with 6 speed tranny @ 156 mph. I bought the auto tranny Z28 in 93' (when it was stock) and maxed it out over 150 several times when I was young and dumb. I'd say 156 mph, but it's a 150 mph tach. Since (around 1996), I added some performance items and it was a beast at that time.
Is this a Factory LT1? In your 1992 Z28?
The LS1 and LT1 designations are for the engine not the transmission. A 1993 Camaro Z28 would have originally been fitted with an LT1 engine. Available transmissions behind the LT1 would have been the Borg Warner T-56 (manual), or the 4L60E (automatic).
350 LT1
it should be 1000 rpm
The 1993-97s did
the 1997 camaro z28 lt1 has a base line of 285 horsepower and a base of 335 foot pounds of torque.
285
The engine.
lt1. 350 cubic inches or 5.7 liters
275
If I understand correctly what you are asking.....The 1993 Camaro (Z28) had an LT1 engine, but used the non-electric version 4L60. The 4L60E was not used until 1994.
.050 95 Z28 only came with 5.7 LT1 motor.
