well at the end of the book he is just setting of for a battle at somme. The battle of somme was one of the worst battles of ww1. Thousands of men died within 1 day. this was because all the German soldiers there were new and weren't worn out like most of the british soldiers. They also had machine guns and were just killing off all the men in the front line. I always liked to think that Tommo did survive and got back to molly and the baby but, he was worn out and upset about charlie so i don't know.

Tommo becomes braver after Charlie dies. he started to slightly stop blameing himself for the death of his father after telling Charlie that it was his fault although Charlie already knew that Tommo was blameing himself as He talks in his sleep.

Although Tommo is Madly in-love with Molly he left that aside and tried to help Charlie as much as possible with the Army. although i always thought that Tommo would end up with Molly he did not and that would mean alot to Tommo that Charlie went behind his back to see Molly.

I also think that Tommo would prove as more Confident and older after being at the war as no-body treated him as a child except from Charlie which helped him more. Charlie still treating him as normal as before they went to the Army would help him by not letting him grow up too soon as he was to young to join the army but went in as Charlie's Twin.
