Mount the box one to two inches above where the top of the mirror will be.

Does it have a name plate or instructions on how to wire it? the wire that you pulled black, red or red ,blue goes to one of the fixture leads and the other color to the remaining fixture lead. green to green for your grounding conductor. As always if you are unsure consult a qualified person in order to be safe!
Shut off the breaker that supplies the voltage to the fluorescent fixture. Wire the new pull chain switch in series with the black incoming wire and the black wire of the ballast. Turn the breaker back on and your switch will now control the off on operation of the light fixture.
First a special selenium coated, flat metal plate is positively charged. Light stones through a lens then projects an image of the page to be copied onto the charged plate. Whenever the light falls on the selenium plate the plate becomes a conductor and the positive charge is conducted away from the selenium by the metal plate.
Splice a new green wire to extend it, using the same size gauge of wire. Do not use wire nuts, use a proper electrical connector with grub-screws which can be securely tightened-up. As always, if you are in doubt about what to do, the best advice anyone should give you is to call a licensed electrician to advise what work is needed. Before you do any work yourself,on electrical circuits, equipment or appliances, always use a test meter to ensure the circuit is, in fact, de-energized.IF YOU ARE NOT ALREADY SURE YOU CAN DO THIS JOBSAFELY AND COMPETENTLYREFER THIS WORK TO QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS.
Yes. The Home Depot has a kit for about $10 that converts a recessed can to accept a standard fixture. Weight limit is about 10 pounds.

there should be a screw on the mounting plate for your mirror. most of then are a hex head bolt the just holds the mirror to the mounting plate. look at where the mirror connects to the windshield, that's where the bolt should be.
You should cut off the bare wire on each of the light supply wires and cap with a wire nut. You also can't just leave the wires dangling so you need a cover over the cavity left by removing the light. If you don't have the original cover plate you can probably improvise with a standard electrical cover plate. You will have to paint it and may need to reshape the plate for a good fit.

twist and pull pig tail, you need to pull the pig tail out of the fixture from behind the bumper, then install a new #57 bulb and push and turn the pigtail back into the fixture.
Grasp light fixture, Rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise, Pull outward but do not exceed length of wire attached to rear of fixture. Pull "peanut" bulb straight out of socket. Go to store and match burnt-out peanut bulb exactly (I've used The Sylvania "xenon-look" bulbs lately as they don't burn-out for over 2 years...). Put the new bulb in fixture with a straight-in push, Line up the fixture's "ears" with slots in license plate hood, push in and twist 90 degrees clockwise.
Short to Ground Replace fuse with a test light Turn on lights test light will illuminate Check each fixture individually until test light goes out (current flow stops). This will indicate which fixture or wiring is bad. be sure to check parking, tail, and license plate lights also
AnswerThere are two screws for each bulb fixture. Get down on the ground and you'll see them at the tag light. They are 7mm screws. Unscrew them til loose. You don't have to take them off all the way. After unscrewing them, slide lighting fixture away from bumper, and twist the bulb to the left, and pull it out. The license plate light bulb size is 194. You will probably have to take off the license plate in order to reach the bulb fixtures.
Open the hatch. Right behind the light fixture that contains the bad bulb is a cover plate inside the trunk. Remove it and reach inside. You'll find two big plastic nuts that hold the fixture in place. Remove both (they turn with the hand) and push the fixture out of the fender. Unhook the wire to the bulb, twist the socket to get it out, change the bulb, put the socket back in and reconnect the wire, put the fixture back in, put the nuts back on and replace the cover.
Typically the mirror is clipped onto a flat plate behind it. Use a glass fixers sucker or a few small hooks around the edge and pull the mirror away from the plate.
There is a triangular plastic plate on the inside of the car door that covers up the mounting screws for the mirror. You need to get the plate off first. I did this on my '92 passenger side and was unable to get the plate off without breaking it). Once the plate is off there are 3 screws that hold the mirror to the door. Take them out, change mirror, put them back in.
