The only comparison of psychology and other sciences is the fact that some research is required. As for the contrast, unlike other sciences, psychology will mainly focus on mental and behavioural processes.Ê

Phsychology is the study of the human brain and human behavior, stuff like that. Anything that has to do with the body just like anatomy is considered science. Phsychology is also looked at as a Social Study/History.

Why criminology is not a science?

Actually, it is a science. However, when most people think of science, they think of the "hard" sciences; such as physics, biology or chemistry. Criminology is referred to as a "soft" science, similar to psychology, sociology, anthropology or political science.

What other sciences are similar to physics?

Actually all of the other sciences are similar to but the best one is chemistry. it is because chemistry includes matter and this is the same on physics.

Is psychology related to chemistry?

Psychology is what the brain does and why it does it. Personality and similar subjects are included in psychology. Chemistry is a science that largely involves atoms and elements. They are sort of related, because a brain's makeup and components can effect the way the brain works and develops and may cause psychological effects. They are related but in the smallest way.

How are the 3 branches of science are similar?

Science is science, we only separate it into physics, chemistry and biology for convenience. Interestingly all three rely on one another: Good physics wouldn't exist without the scientific process. Good chemistry wouldn't exist without physics. Good biology wouldn't exist without chemistry. So really there is the following dependancy: Scientific Process > Physics > Chemistry > Biology

How is maths related with chemistry?

When it comes to the physical sciences like chemistry and physics, math is the "language" of chemistry and physics. You won't need any advanced math in high school or general chemistry, but go into the upper division courses in college and you utilize a lot of calculus. You simply can't do chemistry without math. All physical sciences and math require very similar ways of thinking as well.

What is the relationship of psychology to other sciences?

Why does the definition of 'endothermic' seem to differ so greatly between the schools of Chemistry and Biology?

The word "endothermic" is made of the parts "endo-" - "within, inside"; "therm" - "heat"; and "-ic" - pertaining to. Therefore the basic meaning of the word describes having heat inside versus "ectothermic" - having heat outside. This word is adapted in biology and chemistry to describe different concepts with a similar base meaning: "endotherm" in biology means animals that generate "heat on the inside" while "endothermic" in chemistry describes a reaction that sucks "heat to the inside".
