In Spain families gather around 10 pm and have dinner at Xmas Eve. We usually have seafood. For dessert, we have a type of light, crumbly shortbread, a kind of nougat made of honey, egg white, almonds and hazelnuts. And we toast with cava: Spanish champagne. There might be fireworks in big cities. Children go to bed right after twelve and wake up early in the morning to get the present Papá Noel (Santa Claus) has brought them. At noon, the following day, families gather again ... and keep up eating galore! Merry Christmas!!!!
