Matter is the stuff of the universe, and is everything that we can (and can't) see. Mass is the amount of matter in an object (a relation to matter). Volume is how much space the matter takes up (also relating to matter).

The density of a substance is equal to the mass divided by the volume. thus, if you know the density of the substance, mass = density * volume, and volume = mass / density.

Yes, mass and volume do depend on the density of matter because of 2 resources because my teacher told me. And because that it can be proven on any number of websites and science books.
