If the payroll "department" is not available, they must pay you within six hours of the start of the next workday. If the payroll "department" is not located at your company itself, they have 24 hours to pay you.
In the state of MA, you are to receive your final paycheck on the day of your discharge if you were fired. In the case that you quit voluntarily, you would have to wait for the next pay day.

There really aren't any specific rights. You should receive your final paycheck in the standard time frame. As long as no laws were broken regarding why you were let go, there really isn't much in the way of what you can do.
