A frog goes in to hibernation during the winter season. While the frog is in hibernation, the fat bodies can provide warmth to it during the cold season and also enable it to float in the frozen ponds. In addition, it can provide the frog with stored food while it is in hibernation for the winter.
They hibernate. (where depends on the species)
the alligator can leave for a week without water but then they have to stay in the shayd to keep cool or they will get dehydrated but sometimes they will move to a place were the water is not frozen or they try and smash the ice
Nope. They are completely asleep during so they just eat before they got into hibernation :)
They pretty much carry on as usual, but hard, flooding rains can get them on the move, seeking new territory.
They hibernate under mud
Frogs do not hybridize in winter. I do not think you know what hybridize means! I think you have confused it with hibernate?
well like most animals frogs hibernate during the winter. most species hide under rocks and mud or burrow under the ground. when looking for them think like a frog, where would i go in the winter? though looking for frogs in the winter is much harder than the spring and summer. and is extremely rare to see them unless you REALLY LOOK.
no !
because they burry under mud and leaves in the winter
they dont come out as much
Frogs hibernate during winter months in all states. They burrow themselves in the dirt and sleep until spring time.
they both hibernate in the winter.
They become ''frogsicles''(turn into ice) and unfreeze after winter and go out to search for food.
Frogs digging into mud to hibernate in the winter
frogs often survive the brutality and harshness of winter to live another year. Even though frogs are small and delicate creatures, they are tough and hardy. So hardy, that frogs can withstand being frozen solid. To most animals, including humans, being frozen solid would mean certain death.
Frogs hiber nate because they cannot live in cold
Gray tree frogs can live up to 7 years. And can withstand temp. of 40F during the winter months.
