According to the USDA, ham, both pre-cooked and cooked at home, should be stored in the frezzer for no more than 1-2 months.

The USDA would say that. But I'll Tell you Something, I keep things (like Hams) in the deep freeze way longer than that. You just have to be careful and trust your instincts and you'll be fine. If in doubt, Bin It!

Precooked Ham (which is the type most easily available at your grocer) - should only be frozen for 4 months at most.

Uncooked (raw) Ham - lasts up to a year in the freezer, given that your freezer is adequate temperature.

The temperature inside the average person's freezer should be at 0 to 8 degrees Fahrenheit.

Cured meat doesn't last as long as you'd think in the freezer. Plan to use it within 1 or 2 months.
