A red eared slider can go without food for atleast 7 days, ( That's a whole week!) I had to do the same thing leaving my read eared slider home, but if you put in some food before you leave and a Turtle Bone (TM) He will be fine, try looking the turtle bone on petsmart.com
Well they can live for about 6 months. Of course they will be getting skinny and it is very unhealthy so i am hoping that you will be feeding the poor creature. She will seem to be getting fatter because her body is generating it's own body fat while she is eating nothing. Now i hope this help but please feed the poor animal.
well I'm looking for an answer to this question because all four of my turtles have stopped eating, I'm more concerned about my 1 year old male who is the smallest and will not eat food offered or sitting they haven't touched their food for about a week or two what should i do? ;P
MY first thought when I saw this question was '...this person is going on holiday, and wants to know how long they can abandon their pet for...' IF that's the case - DON'T ! ANY pet-shop that specialises in reptiles will be able to house your res for short periods (for a small fee to cover food etc)
2 days max after that if you put food in they will run for it and why would you ask this?
2 weeks if hibernating but awaken only 3 days
Yes!
Sure, they do it in the wild. If you have pet red eared sliders and geese then as long as the geese don't pick on the the turtles you will be fine.
Red-eared sliders need an adequate amount of water in which to swim. ... Red-eared sliders are strong swimmers, so you don't need to worry about drowning as long as the turtle can get out of the water and there is no place it can get trapped underwater
in captivity 20 to 40 years with great care
As long as the fish isn't any bigger than it.
When owning a pet it is important to know how long it will grow. Red Eared Slider Turtles grow for about 3-5 years depending on their habitat.
In the wild, during brumation, which is similar to hibernation, a red eared slider turtle can go for several weeks or even months without eating. In captivity however, it is unhealthy for a turtle to go this long without eating.
Females have to be about 5-7 years old, 7 in. long. Males 2-5 years, old 4 inches long.
Just as long as they can't get a hold of the turtle, or the tank.
just check if it has long claws a long tail and a pointy head.if it does, that means its a male.
Owls are thought to prey upon the long eared jerboa.
well the girl are big with short claws and the boy are small with long claws
