The Jews of the Holocaust worked extremely long hours. They worked on an average of 14-16 hours a day. Depending what camp you were in they would sometimes allow days off or shorter hours on holidays such as New Years or Christmas. Elie Wiesel talked about how they would sometimes allow them time off. They never, ever worked 24 hour shifts.
