Salat, the formal Islamic prayer, can be offered in ten minutes, but sometimes takes much longer, up to two hours in Ramadan.

-----

The Muslim prayer has a core, which is compulsory. This takes about 5-10 minutes depending on how fluent you are in Arabic. There are other recommended acts/recitations that may be added or omitted at the person's convenience. So you can pray for as long as you like.

A prayer should not be rushed. it should be medium. if a prayer is fast you dont know what your saying and you might get it wrong the words and its a sin so dont rush

thanks!

I may misunderstood the question, but this answer is to a question like "How long do Muslims pray, 30 yrs, 40 yrs, ....?" If this is not your question, then this is not answer to your question.

Answer

Firstly let me ask you a question, if you can answer:

How long do the humanity's eatings last? Until their death. Isn't it? yes, it is. So the Muslims' prayers last until their death too. As Allah says in the Quran: "Worship me until the Yaqeen comes to you." Yaqeen is explained also as the death.

So the Muslims' prayers last until their death.....

Generally 5 to 10 minutes, but they can be longer, even hours long.

For example a prayer called taraweeh/tahajjud is very long it's usually an hour and thirty minutes.

A prayer called Fajr (Dawn) is short it takes around 5-13 minutes (depending what surah (chapter) they read.)

*

Fajr: 4-9 minutes

Zuhr: 6-11 minutes

Asr: 6-11 minutes

Maghrib: 4-11 minutes

Isha: 4-13 minutes

Taraweeh/tahajjud: 45 minutes - 2 hours.

Eid Prayer: 7 - 11 minutes

Salat-Al-Janazah: 6-17 minutes [Depending what you say]

This may not be accurate*

Daily prayers generally take 5 - 10 minutes, but can be longer if the person so desires.

Jumaa prayer, which is prayed on Fridays, consists of a sermon followed by a prayer, and usually takes 30 minutes to an hour.

Other prayers, such as Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan, may be even longer.

Traditional Muslim prayers are written in what language?

Muslim prayers are in Arabic because that is the language in which the Koran, the holy book of Islam, was dictated to the prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him). Like the Koran itself, Muslim prayers are written in a eloquent and poetic classical Arabic that continues to live as a sacred expression of the Divine Being. Muslims around to world learn the language of the Koran as part of their religious studies.
