There are a couple of different circumstances regarding DWI and your personal records. In New York, if you are not convicted of a DWI, it will remain on your driving record for 10 years. This includes alcohol or drug related DWI's.
If, however, you are convicted of a DWI (alcohol or drug related) the first DWI is considered a misdemeanor and will go on your criminal record, but it can be sealed with the help of a criminal attorney. A 2nd DWI, or any conviction after is considered a felony. In order to get these sealed, you must file for a certificate of relief from disabilities. If it was not granted at the time of sentencing, and no term of imprisonment has been served, you can apply for the certificate from the sentencing court. If time has been served, it must be applied for with the New York State Board of Parole.
A DUI stays on your record forever unless you can your record sealed or expunged, which isn't likely to happen unless you were a juvenile when you committed the offense.
A DWI or a DWAI stays on your record for tens years, or if you don't renew your NYS drivers license once your driver's license originally expires (after you suspension period ends) after ninety days, it will go off automatically, once you do renew or apply for a new license (only for DWAI convictions only).
Depends what state you want you know about. NYS and PA yes a Minor will get DWI charges if that's the case.
The agency that investigated the report will probably always maintain a copy on file but since you say it was non-criminal, it will not show up on any criminal history check.
DWI offenses deal with motor vehicle rules and regulation. Weapons ownership is prohibited when there is a guilty finding of criminal statutes/law i.e. robbery, theft, murder, arson, assault, etc.
NYS does not post out of state speeding tickets to your record. You can verify that with the NY DMV.
No no you cant get it of your record it is perminant and to try is illegal i asked my trooper brother and that's what he said
Anytime you drive under the influence, it is your problem. There is generally no liability unless they forced you to drive after forcing you to ingest a substance to intoxicate yourself.
