there are kept for a week or 3 days then put down
That varies from shelter to shelter, and even can depend on a variety of factors in each shelter. You would have to call your local one to know.
It all depends on the shelter, so you'll have to ask the people who work there. But the most common is 5 or 7 days.
it depends on the shelter dogs trust never put a healthy dog down but other places only keep them for a couple of days :( its horrible that they get put down for no reason. hope this helped x
2 weeks
quit putting more dogs in shelters.
Putting dogs down is a last resort and it only happens if dogs have no chance of getting a home or the shelter is overcrowded and they feel that this dog/cat has been here too long it will be euthanized or put to sleep it is painless and it is usually done by the dog putting on fa mask and they will put a gaseous drug into it and the dog will breathe it in and go to sleep
Most do yes but after a really long time like if they are there for over a couple of years.
Maybe an old couple or a little kid. DO NOT PUT YOUR PET IN THE POUNDS OR SHELTERS!!!!! When dog-catchers put dogs in pounds and shelters, they sometimes get overfilled. Soon, if there is not much room left, they will kill dogs that have been there a long time without being adopted or found a good home. As sad as it is, it is true.

The Sioux traditionally lived in shelters called teepees. These shelters were made with long poles and buffalo skins and could be set up and taken down very quickly.
there are 2 that i know of a no kill shelter and the pound that if they are there 2 long with out getting adopted they put them down (kill)
They were called Long Houses
innovation of shelters is ROM the begining. The first shelters ever lived by people among us that has died long before we were born, is trees. They belived that trees can keep them safe but there is a lot of disadvantage about living in trees.
Before the raids, they packed food and drink inside so that they could survive long periods of time without leaving.
Dogs were around long before cats came into the picture. Scientists believe dogs were around tens of thousands of years before the cat showed up.
