how long a belt will last depends on driving conditions and your climate region. extreme cold and hot weather wears the belts at a faster rate. On average since these belts are tensioned so tight, they will need to be replaced about 30,000 miles or so.

What mileage do you have to change your timing belt to your Mitsubishi montero sports?

This engine is what they call an "interference" engine. That means unless the valves are closed when the piston reaches TopDeadCenter they will collide and the pistons will bend the valve, driving it into both the cylinder heads and piston crowns with devastating results. Your timing belt is usually rated for 60,000 miles. It may last longer. Waiting for it to fail to save money is not really a good option as when, (not if) it does fail while in service, your engine will be destroyed.

Will a US Mitsubishi dealer work on a 2010 Montero Mitsubishi?

There is a good chance that they will be able and willing to do routine maintence. On the other hand they will NOT be able to do any warranty work. Your local Mitsubishi dealership will most likely not be able to get parts for a 2010 montero other than common filters or parts it may share with the last montero sold in the states.
