Usually a minimum of 2-3 weeks. However, it depends on if you follow the directions given to you by your doctor. Those who take care of an arm in a cast USUALLY have their casts removed sooner rather than later. Those who don't are forced to wear it longer :) So take care and it will be off in a jiffy!

Question for you? Did you do any hand and wrist therapy exercises following the removal of the cast? This is usually recommended, so as to get your flexibility/mobility back in your hand & wrist. Ask your doctor who did the casting, to recommend a hand/wrist therapist. He may want to X-Ray your wrist first. Good Luck!! Take care.
She has "Stay" written on her left wrist and "Strong" on her right wrist so that when she puts her wrists together they say "Stay Strong" to remind her to fight against the doubts she has about herself. When she came out of rehab earlier this year, Demi also got a small heart tattood on her right wrist to show her thanks for the support her fans gave her through her time in rehab.
Yes, since your wrist is one of the most delicate and used parts of your arm you must have a cast so you don't 'accidently' use it and hurt it or reinjure it.
