NPH and a rapid acting insulin (Regular, Novolog or Humalog) prefilled syringes may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks. Store with the cap end pointing up to prevent clogging the needle. This is beneficial for those with vision impairment to have prefilled syringes. (ADA,2004)
