I've done a rough calculation based on answers found right here on WikiAnswers to the question "How fast does a cruise ship sail?" That answer was about 40 mph. So, if Hawaii is about 2400 miles away from California it would take them two and a half days at 40 mph. Give or take a few miles or mph. Of course, one has to consider weight of fuel or cargo and Weight of cargo ships vs. cruise ships. I would guesstimate anywhere from 2-4 days at best and worst respectively depending on speed and weight assumptions.
5 days..
