Cheetahs are weaned at about 12-18 months of age and then form sibling groups for another 6 months (males will stay in this group (called a coalition) and females will leave to become solitary hunters)

The cubs reach sexual maturity at around 20-24 months

Cubs are weaned at 3 months of age

A female cheetah will leave her cubs when they are approximately 16 to 18 months of age. At this point they are nearly fully grown though not yet adults as they are not yet able to reproduce. Females reach full maturity at around two years of age and males reach full maturity sometime between two and three years of age.
